Jeremy Piven, Born Jeremy Samuel Piven on July 26 1965 is an American actor best known for his role on the hot new HBO series ‘Entourage’ in which he plays the character Ari Gold. He has won an Emmy Award in 2006 and was also nominated for a prestigious ‘Golden Globe’.

Jeremy Piven was born in New York, USA. He grew up in Evanston, Illinois where his parents, who were both drama teachers, founded the Piven Theatre Workshop to which he enrolled and studied alongside long term friends and fellow actors John and Joan Cusack. Jeremy remained close to John through out both their careers and the two of them once even shared an apartment together.
Jeremy appeared on various different TV shows over the next few years including the final 3 seasons of ‘Ellen’ as well as starring in and producing his own TV show ‘Cupid’ which was unfortunately short lived.

Jeremy had a successful movie career and starred in various different movies, many of which also featured his friend John Cusack, some of his most notable roles are as follows: Black Hawk Down, Runaway Jury, Scary Movie 3, Smokin’ Aces and Disney’s ‘Cars’ in which he was the voice of Harv.

In 2007 Jeremy got his big break when he won the role of Ari Gold in one of America’s top TV series ‘Entourage’ he received an Emmy award nomination for his role on the show in 2005 and went on to win in 2006.
Later that year Piven also performed ‘Take me out to the ball game’ in the seventh-inning stretch on Father’s Day at Wrigley Field.

He has featured in adverts for Cincinnati Bell Telephone and Buffalo Wild Wings.
Jeremy hosted Saturday Night Live on 20th January 2007 alongside musical guests AFI and is the brother in law of Adam McKay who used to write for SNL but is now a writer and comedy director.
